I’m a straight shooter.
I will tell you what I see.
Not to judge you—but to help you understand what’s actually happening between you.
Most couples don’t need more advice.
They need to see the patterns they’re caught in—and how they’re each contributing to them.
I’ve seen these patterns play out in countless couples over the years.
I’m warm and compassionate.
But I won’t collude with patterns that keep you stuck.
Real change begins when you’re willing to:
--look inward
--take responsibility
--engage honestly in the work
This isn’t about blame.
It’s about creating safety, accountability, and real connection.
That’s where things start to shift.
✔️ Get off the argument spiral
✔️ Rebuild trust after betrayal
✔️ Bring closeness back into your day-to-day
✔️ Communicate deeply without anxiety

I’m Suanne Zager, LMSW, and I help couples find their way back to each other — especially when they feel stuck, disconnected, or unsure if the relationship can truly heal.
For more than four decades, I’ve sat with individuals and couples during some of the most vulnerable, honest, and emotionally charged moments of their lives.
Over time, I’ve learned that lasting change in relationships doesn’t come from quick fixes or surface-level strategies — it comes from slowing down, telling the truth, and learning how to stay emotionally present when it matters most.
I offer telehealth-only couples therapy for Michigan residents, using evidence-informed methods shaped by decades of clinical practice. Clients often tell me that what feels different here is the combination of emotional safety and steady guidance — especially during moments when conversations feel overwhelming or impossible elsewhere.
If you’re ready to move beyond repeating the same arguments and toward a relationship that feels more grounded, connected, and real, this work can help.
